History
Founded by Pacal Balan and Randuin Maral the Paratwa Ra was one of the most extreme anti-Amarrian cults of their time.
They harassed Amarrians everywhere with a focus on prominent Amarr corporations such as Imperial Dreams and PIE.
The Paratwa Ra condemned the newly formed Ushra'Khan as beeing to soft and refused to join the alliance, something which changed later on. But by then the Paratwa numbers had already dwindled considerably.
With Pacal Balan and eventually Randuin Maral leaving for their newly founded Encina Technologies the Paratwa Ra and its sister corp Paratwa Ka slowly dwindled and effectively died.
The last active members of Paratwa Ra (Epictetus, Leneerra and Xenome) joined PFM in 2005.
After Pacal Balan founded Namtz'aar k'in the paratwa society had something of a revival with the return of Aodha Khan amongst others. Although the focus seems to have shifted towards protecting the republic.
Philosphy
Paratwa soldiers commonly believed themselves to be the freed guardian spirits of gene modified super-assassins from a world long gone. They would be called into different time-shards as they where needed to protect the chosen people from the darkened energies threatening to destroy the entire universe. To fight against the 'darkening' implied total annihilation of the Amarr race, which was seen as the manifestation of the evil energies which it is the paratwas destiny to fight for eternity.
A central concept within the Paratwa Society was that of the 'tway'. The simplified explanation of this would be that of a kindred soul. Someone that you are so closely connected with that you would start having the same thoughts and on occasion fuse together with into a new, single entity.
There are pages and pages of lore connected to the Paratwa. Some of it is available on GalNet but much is hidden within their vaults.
