Somal Thunder
From EVE History
Somal Thunder is the former CEO of the Intergalactic Peace Organization, a previously small-time corporation, originally created to allow pilots of all skill levels to rat freely in 0.0 space with docking access as well as aid new members by taking them on group missions, letting them benefit from bounties. The corporation then became PVP based with some industrial backbone to it. Somal Thunder attended EVE-TV as a guest during the Fifth Alliance Tournament. To the surprise of many, he wore a sweater with the Goons logo on the side.

Corporate History
Intergalactic Peace Organization
The Beginning
The Intergalactic Peace Organization was founded by Somal Thunder on the 13th of January 2008. The original purpose was to make money off members and siphon corp taxes for purchase of expensive ships and equipments - however, Somal didn't have the heart to scam the newbies he had just met and redesigned the program to focus the corporation on 0.0 space. The project needed inspiration and funding, so the young capsuleers of the corporation ran missions as a means to an end.
White Shadow Imperium
Not long after the Intergalactic Peace Organization had been formed, it started attracting unwanted visitors. White Shadow Imperium declared war on 1-DAY under a mercenary contract. This prompted Somal Thunder to act quickly and to relocate to much safer 0.0 space. Quantum Star Alliance was quickly joined and peace triumphed once more.
Quantum Star Alliance
QSA was never any good, and with horrible counsel-style leadership, nothing ever got done. The fluctuations in this horrible alliance eventually caused it to crumble, but brave fools such as Amonse have since then tried to resurrect it. On September 10th 2008, the Intergalactic Peace Organization left QSA for FTZ.
Free Trade Zone
The Intergalactic Peace Organization joined FTZ on September 11th 2008. FTZ gave 1-DAY the freedom and liberty they desired and provided the corporation with the space it needed to act like complete care bears.
OPERATION: TREASURE ISLAND
Arcane Alliance
Somal Thunder quickly grew tired of being a care bear, and in late January of 2009, he proposed a vote to his members under the pseudonym OPERATION: TREASURE ISLAND. The name was meant to imply the shift from care bears to space-holding pirates as they applied to join Arcane Alliance. This led many care bears to leave the corporation, but also spiked interest in many of the more combat-oriented pilots. 1-DAY stuck with Arcane Alliance until it started to cascade. The cascade is believed to have been caused by a fault in the leadership's judgement and their overgrown egos.
Sc0rched Earth
After the fall of Arcane Alliance, Somal took an important and swift tactical decision and relocated 1-DAY to Wicked Creek, their old home. 1-DAY joined Sc0rched Earth and took part in taking Wicked Creek from TCF. Unfortunately the Intergalactic Peace Organization's time with BYRN ended up being quite brief, lasting barely three months.
ENRON Reloaded
One of the corporation's ways in funding itself was through the sales of shares. The corporation paid out dividends monthly, usually up to around 500 million ISK in total. With 10000 shares to go around, one share would therefore earn you up to 50,000 per month. What people failed to realize is that at 1 million ISK a share, it would so long to pay that one million back that it became plain silly. After share trading worth over 2 billion ISK, the 1-DAY passed a shareholder vote to discontinue all dividend payments due to funding issues. It took the public months to find out that Somal Thunder owned half (5000) of the shares, receiving 250 million ISK every month for little to no work.
Leadership Shift
Somal Thunder realized eventually that running a 0.0 corporation was arduous and probably not worth the hassle, so he siphoned the remainder of the corp wallets (which had been seriously depleted by war efforts) and sold the corporation to DARK IMPERIUM for the lump sum of one billion ISK.
Pandemic Legion
After being in somewhat close ties with Sons of Tangra and Pandemic Legion, Somal Thunder grew to enjoy trolling. Garmon is supposed to have had somewhat of an effect, especially with his corporation Genos Occidere and his latest flame, Hydra Reloaded. This development caused Somal to set one goal: To troll PL to an epic extent. The goal was not reached, however, as he was removed from Sniggwaffe for trolling before delivering his final blow, ironic. Fortunately, some trolling had been accomplished and the mission was not a complete failure.
Red Federation
Having lack of goal, Somal decided it was time to blow some of his cash on PVP, so he bought 50 frigates and 5 cruisers all specifically designed for cheap combat in a controlled environment. He joined Red Federation and had his ships couriered to Tourier. He soon realized the tremendous ardor to the PVP he had signed up for and left Red Federation for Against ALL Authorities, where sources indicate he had a blast.
The Collective
Being dead tired of nonsensical PVP and docking games, Somal decided to get back into the 0.0 PVP Sov-Warfare machine. It didn't take long until Somal put EVE back on the shelf to study - these guys were very serious business and Somal had already lost interest in politics and just didn't care. Eventually Somal came back to New Eden with a vengeance but was removed from the corporation when he posted an offensive youtube video. Somal took this lightly and went back to the Red-VS-Blue scheme to see how it was going.
Blue Republic
It didn't take Somal long to realize that Blue Republic wasn't any better than Red Federation. The PVP action was very boring and most of the time war targets would be lurking about playing docking games, making it very difficult for the separate factions to oppose each other effectively. This ultimately lead Somal Thunder to join Pilots of Honour, a communist Aeternus corporation, where he endured various escapades, including some of the conflicts of the war in the North.
Pilots of Honour
Somal's stay in PH was short-lived. Despite being one of the most active pilots in the corp, maintaining a ten to one kill ratio and a 97.14% ISK efficiency, he was removed from the corporation within three weeks of his arrival. It is disputed why he was dismissed from his duties although sources indicate it was not because of his PVP abilities, but rather because of his affiliation with Genos.
Genos Occidere
Somal Thunder has been found cooperating with members of Genos for quite some time (estimated since early 2009). He has been seen in multiple fleets apparently lead by Garmon. The character Garmon has however been sold since then and sources indicate that it is arduous to figure out what character Garmon really controls today. His name and voice have been spotted in many videos (such as the ones labelled Garmonation).
