Querious

Querious is a region located in the south west of the Eve cluster, and is bordered by Khanid to the north, Delve to the west, Period Basis to the south and Catch to the east. It is currently a warzone.

In ages gone past Querious was part of the ill-fated Coalition of Free Stars and then the similarly fated *United Free Stars. When the Fountain Alliance moved with war upon the UFS, Firmus Ixion was soon after concieved from the ashes of the UFS and claimed Querious for its own. For a long time Firmus Ixion ruled Querious, becoming at one point one of the oldest territorial alliances in Eve. Despite the wars against FIX, Querious remained under their dominion until the *CODA war. It is only in recent times that FIX has found itself no longer a wholly independent entity but instead a vassal state of the militarily superior BoB. Since then, Querious became a warzone for the allied attack against BoB, and FIX was driven from the region.

CODA: Coalition of Dead Alliances - This was the pet name of an alliance of alliances that included Stain Alliance (in one of it's many forms and namings), Huzzah, Imperium, Smash, and various other alliances that came down to help bring Firmus Ixion down.

The UFS was an alliance of alliances including the Coalition of Free Stars [CFS], the Deep Space Mining Alliance [DSMA], and the Star Alliance.

History

Tri Region Area Moniker regarding three interlinked regions; Delve, Querious, and Period Basis, historically under the protection of CFS and allied entities. Now fracturing into FIX in Querious, and hotly contested between UFS and FA in Delve and Period Basis. The Tri Region Area is renown for its prior history of being the 'only open space outside Empire'. Its also widely known as a popular place for bored CA members to raid, as its, rightly or wrongly, believed to be 'easy pickings'.

Tri Region Wars Including the FIX revolutionary war, these engagements, started in the fourth quarter of '04, and embroil the Tri Region Area in battle after battle. Participants in the wars to date include, but are not limited to, FIX, FA, CFS, DSMA, StA, SSA, CA. Throughout the long wars, FIX has achieved recognition amongst a peerage of other established alliances.

Trivia

J-FIX: Slang term for the Querious region, based on the early astro-cartography designation of JK-FIX. Original terminology, prior to the discovery of the smuggler's gates, included Period Basis and Delve regions as they were only reachable through JK-FIX at the time.
