Introduction
Legacy Syndicate is a new corporation, but is here to stay. The Legacy Syndicate is a production corporation with intentions to grow and flourish.
History
Early days
In the brutal wars between BioShock and Thunderclap holland a group of pilots where on the verge of losing everything they owned, because of a fatal error made by one of their CEO’s. These pilots, whose origins where from Thunderclap holland, decided they should leave before it was too late and they would lose everything. Although for some it was already too late, they decided to leave together and start a new society. From the ashes of a short but brutal war they emerged as a new corporation: the Legacy Syndicate!
The original plan was to keep ties with the organization they left, but this seemed impossible. The Syndicate had to stand on their own feet and face the future by itself. Many good plans where forged and brought into effectiveness. The Syndicate was determined to stay.
The Legacy Syndicate’s founders and CEO’s (Tash Murka, Bethor Invictus and Racnim Sinedia) took their time in finding a good spot that had it all (or at least a lot). They finally choose Piekura VIII – Moon 11 – State War Academy School. This station had a cloning facility, you could manufacture here and it had a repair facility. It had good and plenty asteroid belts and it was close to low security space for future expansion and mining operations.
The CEO’s travelled to Piekura to start the new corporation and before Racnim Sinedia had created the corporation Legacy Syndicate already had her first member. Bebur decided to join the Legacy Syndicate and also leave Thunderclap holland, just as the CEO’s.
16 December 2007 was the date Racnim Sinedia created the corporation and gave Tash Murka and Bethor Invictus Director functions so they could operate as Admiral of Fleet (as the CEO function was named). A day later Bebur moved his stuff and applied for membership.
Legacy Syndicate’s first mission was to grow and build up a corporation from nothing. The first rules and regulations where thus created to achieve this goal and the Admirals of Fleet started to recruit.
The first days Legacy Syndicate did just that and grew, but it couldn’t prevail. One of the CEO’s of Thunderclap Holland, Trippleboy (the same one that was the reason to leave), also left Thunderclap holland and created a new corporation of his own: the Goldon Devils with which he declared war to the Legacy Syndicate before the week was over. However, thanks to the diplomatic skills of Tash Murka, the war was ended before the day was over and no kills where made.
The rest of first month Legacy Syndicate could grow without further problems. The growth took a flight when an Admiral of Personnel was appointed. Redshay was a true recruiter and many new recruits joined. Since Legacy Syndicate also recruited new pilots who just finished their Aurora training (and sometimes even before) Legacy Syndicate needed to help her new members and so the LESY Academy was born.
Legacy Syndicate grew and flourished and all went well until the 21 January 2008. The Cleansing declared war on Legacy Syndicate without apparent reason. Not before long a message reached Legacy Syndicate telling them to pay The Cleansing 200 million ISK or they would kill them. Needless to say Legacy Syndicate wasn’t planning on paying them the 200 million, so the war continued on…
The war with The Cleansing was raging on, but that didn’t stop Legacy Syndicate’s Admirals to engage into negotiations with the Knights of the Southerncross. Redshay started the negotiations for Legacy Syndicate to join the alliance and to gain a station in Isenan X - Moon 7 - Federal Intelligence Office Testing Facilities. A low security space region which has 28 asteroid belts with has Jaspet and Omber in them.
While many of the members of Legacy Syndicate already moved halfway, the contract with the Knights of the Southerncross wasn’t signed yet. In that time of waiting another corporation declared war on the Legacy Syndicate. On the 24th January 2008 the Gods of War also declare war on the Syndicate. Even though many pilots weren’t in Piekura anymore and couldn’t be found by the enemies of Legacy Syndicate, some were still in the vicinity and this became less and less fun for them. Especially since the most of the ones who stayed where still rookies. A solution needed to be found.
On the 25th of January 2008 the Legacy Syndicate received a message from The Cleansing that they would temporarily (at the 26th) end the war. The reason was that we could use this small time window to move from Piekura and abandon our HQ. Since we already planned to leave Piekura this war ended here without the need of any further negotiations.
The communication with the Knights of the Southerncross was slow during this time and the wars where really breaking us up. We needed to end these wars soon, especially the war with the Gods of War. They tracked us and followed us into Gallente space to continue the slaughter.
In our search for help Redshay called in help from some of his befriended pilots. They immediately responded and even gave us an offer to join their alliance. We started negotiating immediately and the deal was set quite easily and quickly. All parties where happy and we joined the SWAT alliance. In response to that our newly made friends immediately declared war on the Gods of War. Needless to say that that was too much for the Gods of War and they retracted their war against us and left us alone. We were free to roam space again, but we were out of a home now.
Things where now looking good for the Legacy Syndicate and there was finally time to rebuild what was lost. Legacy Syndicate had a dire need for money, since by now they were in the red numbers and needed to repay their debts and get a steady income to pay their bills. This was an arduous task, but the corporation’s members were willing. After the introduction of the new improved rules and three weeks of hard work the corporation finally had enough money to pay their bills and to be certain of a steady income if these rules stayed in place. Now the time for investments and fun could start. The corporation is looking for new ideas and initiatives to do more for their members and to improve the fun they have in New Eden.
Today
The corporation is till very active and is working together with the space weaponry and trade aliance to claim their own piece of 0.0 space. Something we seem to be doing very well.
