KIA Corp

KIA Corp is a famous mercenary outfit led by KIAEddZ, with a long and, at times, chaotic history.

In the past, KIA has fought against a large number of entities of any size, including Band of Brothers, G Alliance, the Imperial Republic of the North and, more recently and after a hiatus (see below), Dusk and Dawn, the Curatores Veritatis Alliance or PIE Inc. KIA has a reputation for honor and ferocity in battle and does its best to uphold its tradition of professionalism under any circumstances.

Members of the EVE Community have sometimes stated that, of all the mercenary corporations in EVE, the only one not in the Mercenary Coalition that is skilled enough to be is KIA. While this is not necessarily true, it is worth mentioning nonetheless. Indeed, when one thinks of mercenaries in EVE, their first thought is usually the Mercenary Coalition and/or KIA.

Retirement from the mercenary business and subsequent return

In May 2006, under the impulse of a number of members who felt bored with the mercenary profession, KIA retired from the business and was one of the founding members of the E.R.A. alliance, along with former members of the Five and the Forsaken Empire, Black Omega Security and Millennium; Delta Team was also a founding member but didn't stay with the alliance for long. The newly-formed alliance subsequently moved to the Tribute region, was kicked out by the combined forces of Dusk and Dawn, Morsus Mihi and RAZOR Alliance, and moved to Cache as part of an agreement with Lotka Volterra, where E.R.A fought against the Red Alliance and its numerous friends.

It was then that dissent rose again amongst KIA members who felt that the alliance life was neither what they had hoped for nor what they wanted for the future. The order was given, KIA Corp left Cache and E.R.A and returned to the mercenary business. Its first contract then was high-profile, against Dusk and Dawn.
