Biography

Jbob2000 began the game pre-Castor under a different character. While looking for a corp to join under that character, he was told by the corporation he was interested in that he had to be Gallente, and so made this character who he has stuck with ever since.

Celtic Industries

When Bob first joined Celtic Industries, they were a mining corp based out of Saloti. They regularly mined mined the kernite their in frigates, Bob being in an Imicus which was supplied by the corp. He distinctly remembers the day one of the the other corp mates got a Thorax, and remembers how sleek and big it looked compared to his Imicus. After a few weeks with the Celts, he was booted, and was told that he didn't fit the corp because of timezone differences and play time.

Northern Intelligence

Northern Intelligence mining operation

After being kicked from Celts, Bob hit the recruitment channels in an attempt to find another corp. Commander Bajaaz had a corp which was in the process of merging into another corp, owned by Admiral Iceblock. Bob soon joined up with the new corp named Northerm Intelligence. This would be the corp that he would stay in the longest, and would gain the most experience in. Basing themselves out of Tannolen (pre-highway changes), NOINT routinely mined and NPC'd together while slowly building up a member base. Bob at this point had moved up to a Thorax and was slowly building up assets. NOINT then entered into an alliance with some Minmatar freedom fighters and was at constant war with PIE Inc. This was Bob's first experience with Pvp, and it was pretty good for the most part. He also was involved with the attempted take down of the Imperial Apocalypse flown by Clone0 as it was being transported to Amarr.

NOINT soon after left the Minmatar group and headed to Stain and joined up in the fight against Curse Alliance with Stain Alliance. Bob had gained a considerable amount of experience at this point and began to dabble more in 0.0 life. He worked his way slowly up to an Apocalypse by hauling high-end ores to a refining system for corp mates. Eventually, the day came when he flew his Apocalypse, and unfortunately, he couldn't put together enough money for insurance and was reduced to begging for ISK from corp mates. Remedial (yes the goon leader) gave in and offered Bob 30mil which he quickly snapped up. The Apocalypse was soon after lost when an Unknown Shoe Corp and Burn Eden raid group entered the system Bob was ratting in and killed his ship.

Outlaw Bound

Bob npcing while in Curse

After the fall of Curse Alliance, things in SA apparently began to get sour. While Jbob didn't notice this, many of his friends in NOINT began to admit frustration over the running of the corp and soon quit to form Outlaw Bound. The newly founded corp moved to the Heaven constellation in Curse and began ratting and mining to earn some ISK while waiting for approval for a Stain Alliance trial membership to stay in Curse. Apparently, by mining asteroids that nobody mined and by killing NPCs that wouldn't otherwise be killed, Jbob and other members of BOUND were voiding the terms of the pre-trial membership. After a month in the Heaven constellation, they were kicked out and returned to empire.

Almost immediately after settling in empire, the CEO of BOUND, Cloud Strife, disappeared. It was then that the leadership of the corp fell to Norwegian Bezerker/Zyrtan Keb'Lektar. Nor, as he was often referred to as, lead the corporation to success in industry, often organizing mining ops and mission runs. While this didn't necessarily attract new players to the corp, the ones who were in it had a ball of a time and JBob highlights these times as the best in his Eve career.

2 months or so went by before the CEO of BOUND, Nor, went on a hiatus for 3 months for his job. This put Jbob in the position as CEO until Nor returned. His instructions to Bob were to keep recruiting and run the corp. Bob soon began running recruitment on the eve forums and in the recruitment channel, and gathered up a few folks who were interested in the PvE side of eve. Bob, after hearing about the lucrative rewards of level 4 agents began to run missions for an agent in Palas. It pretty boring, and he ended up bringing most of the corp on his missions for entertainment, regardless of the diminished rewards. After the torp nerf, though, he quit running missions and changed the direction of the corp with the joining of FREGE Alliance.

BOUND was touted as a PvP corporation to get them into FREGE and allow them access to their 0.0 space in Pure Blind. Unbeknown to Bob, however, their 0.0 space consisted of 3 large POS across 2 systems. Most of the time in FREGE was spent around the empire systems before Pure Blind attempting to remove the pirates that constantly harassed the other members of the alliance. A few wars later, and after the loss of a few ships, Bob pulled the corp out a FREGE. It was at this point that Bob wanted to change his direction in Eve to full time PvP.

KIA Corp

KIA vs Bob, the undoing

Jbob abandoned his corp and ended up joining up with the highly respected mercenary outfit KIA Corp. At the time of his joining, KIA had entered into an empire war with Band of Brothers. This was the infamous contract that undid KIA corp for a few months while they reconstructed after the leaving of a few key members. KIAEddZ brought the corp down to Syndicate so they could mine their hearts out in preparation for our next contract, which would be against the remnants of Phoenix Alliance.

Following that contract, KIA had one against The Sudden Death Squad and for the most part it was uneventful. TSDS were fairly small at this time and had a small claim in low sec and some 0.0 and this made it really tough for the corp to find targets when they were ganged up. However, one member, while parading through their 0.0 space found a tower which had run out of fuel. He quickly got together some gang members and they proceeded to steal all the modules and ships from the POS. Bob got in on the theft and flew a Bestower out to a station where they gathered the plunder. Notable items included an Occator, a silo, moon harvester, and some guns. Total loot was valued at around 200,000,000 ISK; all to be donated to the corp.

KIA joined up with Veritas Immortalis to get free wars as -V- had the same wars going. This was at the same time that the Mercenary Coalition was contracted against -V-. KIA corp got lucky however as MC pilots were told not to shoot KIA pilots, and KIA did likewise. -V- regularly had alliance ops, but Bob and the corp neglected to join as they were often disorganized and the enemies ran at the first sight of a 75 plus fleet.

The last contract that Bob participated in was with Big Blue fighting against another mercenary outfit, Cruel Intentions. The war was fairly uneventful, and most KIA pilots ended up ratting an mining in BWF. During a slow night, while both BLUE and KIA were on Teamspeak together, somehow they came of the idea that to entertain themselves they would have a 5 vs. 5 tech one cruiser battle. No ECM, and only tech one modules were the parameters for the fight, and KIA proceeded to fit out a mix of close and long range gunboats. The BLUE team all fought in Caracals. Needless to say, the fight was over quickly as the KIA pilots' ships dropped one after another to the swarm of heavy missiles. Missiles are balanced, eh? KIA was also called back a week later to assist with the deployment of their outposts and the movement of over 1 trillion ISK in T2 Blueprints and supplies to the new outposts.

Taining Corp

The inner carebear in Bob cried out after so much Pvp, and Bob left KIA Corp to join up with The Taining Corp, the executor corp of Knights of the Southerncross. This was at the time when Wicked Creek had just been pried from Red Alliance's hands by Veritas Immortalis, Chimaera Pact, Lotka Volterra, and Knights of the Southerncross. The day prior to Bob's joining was also the day that the Coalition (as they would become known) had destroyed 11 RA dreadnaughts in one battle, a number which was previously unheard of.

This chapter of Bob's career involved him gaining a wealth of experience in fleet combat, while also seeing the lucrative side of 0.0 life. KOS (Knights of the Southerncross) at first was a fairly strong entity from Bob's perspective. It had active leadership and ran roaming gangs, and on the off hour when hostiles weren't around people were busy mining and npcing. However, after a few engagments with RA in their home system, Q-GQHN, the Defense Minister, corn1, left to join -V-. From that point on, things went down hill. The executor of the alliance, demogod, became very mysterious in his ways, by not logging on for a while and giving us strange orders and targets. This lack of leadership lead Bob to step up to the plate on many occasions to lead roaming gangs and defend the homeland.

Jbob was not a serious leader by any means. His gangs were often full of jokes and playful activities on TS and while roaming. This won him the friendship of many alliance folk, but alot of the serious PvPers in the alliance saw him as an uneducated, and a joke of a fleet commander. This was heightened by the fact that during a freighter run, they were jumped by a large RA gang and lost 2 of the 3 freighters, as well as a blockade runner loaded with close to half a billion of mods, skills, and materials. The initial reaction by the general alliance was that it was the commander's fault, however it was later found out that RA had laid a special trap for the group and no matter who was leading, it would've still happened.

The Battle for C-J6MT

Right before downtime on August 5th, 2006, Red Alliance made a lightning POS large tower rush on the empty moons in C-J6MT, Insmother. The following day, Coalition forces including Lotka Volterra, Veritas Immortalis, Knights of the Southerncross, Ascendant Frontier, and E.R.A, got together to rid the system before they lost sovereignty. The friendly dread fleet amounted to about 15 dreadnaughts and 10 carriers. Bob was in his sniper setup Megathron, sat protecting the dreads with the fleet 300km away from the POS, out of reach of its guns. Pilots who could not field a sniper battleship were handed T1 frigates and were placed around the POS being attacked by the dreadnaughts. The plan was that when RA brought in their force to fight the dreads, the group of 30 suicide frigates would warp in and take the aggression from the POS guns onto them, allowing the sniper fleet to warp in and fight without getting hit. This worked quite effectively, however, RA still managed to destroy two of the friendly dreadnaughts. Two days of POS fighting and small skirmishes and the system was in the hands of the coalition... for the time being.

The Battle for N7-BIY

Insmother was supposed to be KOS' region once RA was rid of. This never happened, of course, because Red Alliance decided to attack Insmother and cut off access to it by capturing C-J6MT. Most of the alliance was based out of Wicked Creek anyhow, so RA presence was often quite heavy around N7-BIY. It was all a build up it would seem, a weakening of the forces there, and eventually RA rushed the system with large towers. KOS could not field any dreadnaughts at the time, so the plan was to camp the dead-end system until the towers ran out of fuel. Bob and most of the other alliance members wondered where the other members of the coalition were at the time when they needed them the most. KOS had helped with C-J6MT, yet they were left to defend a system by themselves. This was also right at the time when GoonSwarm teamed up with Red Alliance.
Bob was tasked on a Saturday afternoon to lead the fleet camping the gate into N7-BIY. During a slow period, Bob, instructed by KOS high command, took his fleet of 100 pilots to the neighboring C-J6MT for some action. They camped the station and managed to score a few kills, but no major fights. How stupid of high command to move the fleet out of N7-BIY as during their absence, an enemy gank squad moved in and began attacking the small gang holding the gate. Bob decided he had had enough and parked his ship at a safespot for the night. He wouldn't come out of that system for a month, and when he logged in, he sniped anything that came out of the C-J6MT station. Later that week, N7-BIY fell to bad POS logistics and was in RAGOON hands.

The End of Q-GQHN

Eventually a swift move was made by RAGOON during the low activity time in KOS. They covered 51% of the Q-GQHN moons with large POS and contested the sovereignty of the system. This move put KOS into a state of panic as people began frantically moving their belongings out of all the stations. Bob had decided at this point that he was tired of 0.0 life and moved himself totally out of Wicked Creek and left The Taining Corp for a new life. It was perfect timing too, because KOS leadership thought it would be smart to create a Non-Aggression Pact with their enemies so they could move out in peace. The coalition found out about this and KOS became KOS.

CSkillzone

Up until this point, Bob had never pirated, or killed anyone whom he was not at war with in low sec. He decided he wanted to stay away from alliance life for a bit and try something new in Eve, which ended up being pirating. After sifting through the recruitment channel, he found a small corp based out of The Bleak Lands which he decided to join. He denied request from other major alliances and corps to join a small pirate outfit in an unpopulated region of empire.

His activities in the corp mainly involved camping a 4/10 complex in Sosala, and the occasional roam around the systems to catch unsuspecting npcers. Bob also tried gate sniping at 200km, but it was highly unsuccessful as 425mm IIs lacked the alpha strike that 1400mm IIs had so most of his prey warped off before he could finish them. That same Megathron ended up dieing a week later. A member informed the corp that there was a gate sniper a couple jumps away 40km off the gate. Knowing he could catch the sniper with his blaster setup Megathron, he fitted up and headed out. Upon jumping into the system, much to Bob's surprise, there were about 3 sniping Ravens, 2 recon ships, 3 battlecruisers and 2 cruisers. Needless to say, the Megathron that had seen countless fleet battles and roaming gans...died. Following that, his much beloved Deimos heavy assault cruiser died to multiple nossing cruisers who had been hunting him for a few days.

A couple days later, the CEO informed the corp that they were moving north to join up with the Blood Raiders Alliance. This was also the point where Bob had bought and flew an Astarte, a ship he had dreamed about ever since they were released. The time that the corp spent in BLOOD was boring and uneventful. The first week was spent preparing for the move to the new 0.0 regions that were to be released with the Revelations patch. After the release, a small group of alliance members moved to a spot in the new regions and setup a POS. Bob never made the move mainly because of his hatred for living out of POS and because Dusk and Dawn make routine excursions to the space, and BLOOD never put up a fight.

CSKILL left the alliance after 2 weeks of nothingness. It was back to pirating in the Bleak Lands for a while. Right after Bob moved his stuff back to the home system, Uusanen, the corp had made the decision to move out to Aridia and form an alliance with another corp. Bob followed along, trying to make the best of the situation while moving his stuff 20 jumps for the second time in a week. Upon arriving to the system that was supposed to be their home, he found that there was no station. People were living out of POS in low security space. To Bob, this made no sense. Why not just live in 0.0 if you're going to live out of POS? This was the cracking point for Bob, and his roles were resigned and he left the corp a day later.

Rage of Angels

Bob's time in ROA was extremely short. Under 6 days. Upon joining Rage of Angels he moved into Tribute, a region which he had spent some time with KIA in. While wandering the pipe with a gang in his Astarte, he met up with a friend of his from KIA. After Bob attempted to kill him, and the friend likewise, they began to talk about things and his friend asked him why he didn't return to KIA. Later that night, a roaming HAC gang of KIA pilots tore up the hubs of Tribute. This had shown Bob how truly skilled his old friends are and it showed him that he could excel as a PvPer in a mercenary corp, rather then a 0.0 alliance.

KIA Corp: The Return

The current corporation of JBob. He's in it for the long run this time. KIA is now on vacation and much of the members are ratting in Goon space with Goonswarms permission.
