The JQ Alliance (normally known as JQA) controlled a dead end of Syndicate until its destruction in early 2005.
The Formation of JQA
JQA was formed in early 2004 as a anti-pirate grouping of corporations. JQA initially claimed the constellation of JQV5-9, later expanding to also claim MK7-AO
JQA Day to Day
JQA was primarily an industrial focused alliance, with rich Crokite belts and plenty of NPC stations under their control. A small core of PVPers, known as the JQA Navy, under the leadership of Arboc defended JQA space from the local pirates USTA. JQA aimed to keep out of other alliance politics and generally stay off the map, as its resources to defend itself were limited.
The Downfall of JQA
In late 2004, Supremacy decided that the space occupied by JQA would be ideal as a temporary home before their future campaigns to rid 0.0 of non-PVP based alliances. A few weeks before it became known that Spuremacy would come, internal conflicts started to spread in the alliance concerning lessend PvP activity of major corps such as Raptus Regaliter and Einherjar Yggdrasils, the main antagonists joined Solstice and more or less united under Arboc who just before the invasion by Supremacy threathend with civil war. Against Supremacy, JQA was initially able to maintain ownership of their space by vastly outnumbering their enemies in blob warfare. When eventually the blobs did fight, it was clear that the industrial side of JQA were woefully under skilled in matters of PVP. Despite relatively even numbers, Supremacy were able to destroy large numbers of JQA and their 3rd Front allies in a major battle for VV-VCR.
After the crushing defeat, internal politically wrangling tore the alliance apart. 3rd Front surrendered to Supremacy shortly after the battle of VV-VCR, leading several JQA members to publicly accuse them of cowardice. The JQA Navy continued to try to fight Supremacy with the help of a few dedicated industrialists, resorting to hit and run tactics with fast frigate fleets. After a few weeks it became clear that most of JQA was not interested in a war the decision was reached to disband JQA.
