Fountain

Fountain is a region of the galactic West, once the home of the Fountain Alliance and Band of Brothers and is now claimed by the Brutally Clever Empire, Morsus Mihi, Pure., and Sons of Tangra, along with a few smaller alliances.

General Information

Fountain consists of 17 constellations, Basilisk, Centaur, Chimera, Griffin, Hydra, Kraken, Manticore, Mermaid, Minotaur, Pegasus, Phoenix, Satyr, Skaven, Sphinx, Taurus, Unicorn, and Wyvern. Of these constellations, few are worth much on the scale of strategic or economic importance, except for Pegasus, which is one of the few constellations with abundant amounts of gas clouds that are used in the production of neural boosters. The primary NPC(Non Player Character) corporation that operates in Fountain is the Serpentis Corporation. Their headquarters are located in Serpentis Prime, a system that can be found in the Phoenix constellation.

History

The Fountain region saw the formation of one of the first alliances to be created, the Fountain Alliance. It was formed by members of friendly corporations to fight against the growing threat that two powerhouse corporations, Xanadu and Evolution, presented to the region. The alliance was actually formed by the CEO of Xanadu, who was impressed by the determination of the corporations living in Fountain to stop him. After 9 months of existence, many corporations that were part of the Fountain Alliance left due to lack of organization and tensions between differing corporations in the alliance, and the alliance leadership was reformed.

Some months after these events, Band of Brothers and Stain Empire attacked Fountain Alliance in an effort to claim the Fountain region for themselves. They succeeded, and Fountain stayed under the control of BoB for many years.

After Band of Brothers took control of Fountain, they left the region in the care of other alliances. Xelas Alliance was the first alliance appointed to watch over Fountain for BoB. They were located in the Fountain region for around 2 years until falling out of favor with BoB and were evicted to empire, where they soon dissolved. FATAL Alliance and Aftermath Alliance were also former Fountain residents that which were instated to watch over the area by BoB after Xelas was evicted. At one point several small alliances, such as RISE, and HUN Reloaded also occupied Fountain.

During the reign of the BoB-installed alliances, Fountain was subject to intrusions by Pandemic Legion, Morsus Mihi, Razor, and some elements of Goonswarm who moved into the area to put pressure on BoB's tenants. Ev0ke and 0utbreak occasionally operate in this area shooting at all-comers. In the past, Insurgancy, better known as Celestial Apocolypse were fighting against BoB in order to claim Fountain, but failed at this task.

In late 2007 several members of the Northern Coalition, namely BRUCE, Pure. and MM, attacked Fountain and drove BoB out of the region. They currently hold the region in preperation for an assault on BoB's home region, Delve.

Afterword Bruce claimed most of Fountain along with Sons of Tangra.

Current events

Recently, Pandemic legion took over fountain from Bruce allaince and has brought in their own renters and allies Which include Red Dawn Allaince, Elitist Cowards and Violent-Tendencies allaince. Sons of Tangera and BOB also hold space in Fountian as well.
