Early Lineage
Many of what was to become the Forsaken Empire, had their humble beginings even during the Beta of Eve itself. Here is a brief overview of the Corps involved.
M3G4 AKA Mega
Created by Smoked, this Corp started in Beta, continued in Retail, and eventually (after an internal coup) became part of what was known as the Biomass Cartel.
The Forging of The Empire
SUMMARY
The Forsaken Empire EVE Corporation was created in 2003 after CEO's of 5 corporations came together and discussed how best to move forward in the domination of the northern regions within the parameters of exisiting gameplay. After some discussion it was decided that they would merge their respective corps into one megacorp (note: alliance system didn't exist at this time).
THE 5 PILLARS OF THE EMPIRE
The Forsaken Empire corp name originated from a loose alliance of PvP and Production centered corps of the same name. These corps had been co-operating together for several months of game play and several players had known each other since the launch of Eve-Online, a minority from the Beta's and even fewer from the Alpha's.
The Forsaken Empire Alliance laid formal claim to the Tribute, Vale of the Silent and Geminate regions of the game and had a continuing war effort against the Venal Alliance (the first Venal Alliance that is). These regions of space had been claimed and ownership was passed over by M3G4 Corp, the predecessor corporation to Biomass Cartel.
At the request of m0o Corp, active Forsaken Empire Alliance member corps joined m0o's war efforts against the Fountain Alliance. This joint war effort lasted 2 months and ended in a time zone stale mate and a long lasting rivalry between F-E corp and m0o Corp. Running short on patience, capital, pvp targets and following a falling out with m0o and their subsequent withdrawl from Fountain region, Forsaken Empire Alliance corporations withdrew their forces from Fountain and returned to their traditional territories in the north.
Upon returning back to the north, inactive and non-participating Alliance corporations were expelled. The remaining corps (all of which were small and medium sized corporations) began rebuilding assets and resecuring their claimed northern regions. After working so closely together for several weeks and given the game's mechanics of the time, Darwin began to float an idea of merging together into a single corporation. At this time (2003), there was no formal in-game alliance system, so the framework for managing a single large corp was laid out. Each founding corporation would continue to operate as seperate entities, any founding corporation could withdraw at their request without issue, each founding corp member would nominate 2 directors and together the 5 founding CEO's would make joint mega-corp management decisions. This idea was put to individual corporation votes. Space Invaders corp voted to remain seperate yet allied, CRICE corp was not invited to join and the remaining 5 alliance corps all voted to merge. The 5 founding corps of the Forsaken Empire were:
Biomass Cartel - CEO: Darwin
EPA - CEO: Hupa
Huff Technologies - CEO: Bandit64
Omnigen - CEO: Zen Later
Valkerie Enterprises - CEO: Vultair
The CEO's of these corps would come to be referred to as "The 5 Pillars of the Empire" and the F-E Corp was born.
THE POWER OF THE DARK EMPEROR
Swelling to over 200 total corp members*, F-E corp would be one of the first PvP focused mega corps in Eve-Online gameplay history. Other mega sized corps had and did exist(ed) but their gameplay was production and/or resource focused. It should be noted that Evolution (EVOL) was the only other comparable corp of similiar size and style of gameplay in the game, but EVOL had opted to roam from war to war and not lay any claim to Eve Space during the first incarnation of the F-E corp.
At it's height of power and influence, the Forsaken Empire Corporation controled 5 full regions of 0.0 Eve Space (Geminate, Vale of the Silent, Tribute, Fade & Deklein) and had sole ownership of 7 Player Conquerable Stations (PCS's), something no other single corporation has yet to accomplish or equal.
* At this time, peak player levels = 5,000 players
The First (or Second?) Reformation of Biomass and Forsaken Empire after Lineage
- From my perspective based on my entry to Biomass/F-E**
originally by Hupa and Ender Hawks
The following is meant to be a temporary (brief and vague) summary of the history of F-E. I will update with a more thorough and indepth revision after reviewing the history with hupa and a few others.
I entered the F-E group in August of 2004 but I had been speaking with The End since May of 2004 about joining F-E. At this time Biomass Cartel was operating in Geminate/Vale against Unicor; Biomass was mainly led by The End at this time. During the UNICOR war the Forsaken Empire was reformed and Biomass was kept as a place for misfits who could operate covertly against The Pirate Syndicate (the then rulers of Tribute, Vale, and Geminate).
In October of 2004 the remaining individuals who stayed in Biomass, after the UNICOR war, were asked to join the Forsaken Empire and Biomass was put into hibernation. During this initial reformation of F-E things were a bit chaotic since our relationship with The Pirate Synidicate was starting to sour. Turmoil aside, the F-E was essential in defeating Huff who, at the time, was attacking TPS. After the defeat of Huff and a few other irrelevant corps the F-E came to blows with the leadership of TPS. As such, the F-E eventually led a coup against TPS and within a day had regained all of its former territories except Tribute, which was given to D.E.V.I.A.N.C.E. corp for their assistance and loyalty against TPS.---
Once F-E had reclaimed its territory in Vale/Geminate we decided to rebuild the corp and include a few new friends (DEVIANCE) in our little group. But, as is consistent with the F-E, trouble came knocking... Bob, most likely at the request of former TPS leaders who had joined RKK (namely Blocko and Dianabolic), started to raid Tribute on a daily basis. Long story short, internal problems with DEVIANCE and their inability to hold Tribute led to the F-E questioning the competence of DEVIANCE corp. Thus, the F-E started a search for "new friends" who could hold Tribute.
Now, at this time the F-E was split as to who we thought should hold Tribute. Half of us wanted Xirtam and his band of merry men and the other half wanted Foyle and her loyal compatriots. After speaking with C4W3, one of the CA fleet commanders, F-E decided to go with Foyle and so began the removal of DEVIANCE from Tribute, which took only a few days. After only a few short weeks with Foyle the F-E decided to form an alliance with C4W3, Foyle, and a few of her comrades from the CA.
Enter Force Of Evil
Again, to make a long story short, F0E dominated Eve for many months toppling several alliances and causing great havoc in the North. However, as with all good things, the F-E once again found itself in turmoil with the residents of Tribute (Corp1, Foyle, and the people they brought from the CA), which led to another civil war.
