CRISIS CORP CHRONOLOGY
“We are, at the moment, a corp. full of latent potential. It is time to fulfill this.” Rover Vitesse, upon being appointed CEO of Crisis Corp

The origins of Crisis Corp.
2004
In late 2004, a number of Corporations were operating in Period Basis region. Using the two conquerable stations there situated at TPAR-G and at G-Q5JU. These stations were owned by Fountain Alliance (FA), who received taxes from those using the stations. Nominally, FA purported to provide security to keep unwanted persons out of the area, but in practice they did little to do so. It was the resident Corporations in Period Basis that assembled together under two organisations, known as Coalition of Free Stars (CFS) and as Deep Space Mining Alliance (DSMA), to deal with pirates and aggressions from raiders (such as Curse Alliance, MACE and m0o).
Uniquely, amongst deep 0.0 regions in the Eve universe, Period Basis and the adjoining regions of Delve and Querius were not closed space claimed by an alliance, but were free to entry by any neutrals who were willing to live in harmony with the residents there. This would be CFS/DSMA in Period Basis, and Querius Defence Force (QDF) in Querius and Star Alliance (StA) in Delve and with FA. Amongst the Corporations living in Period Basis were True Illuminati (CEO Neil Athotep), Capsule Corp (CEO Droopsy) and Sirius Cybernetics (CEO Rover Vitesse). These 3, who had been living in the area since the Spring of 2004, were amongst the most pro-active corps in DSMA. Another Corporation in DSMA was Black Lance, who were later to play a part in the history of what was to become Crisis Corp.
Towards the end of 2004 CFS/STAR become disillusioned with subservience to FA and determined that the stations in Period Basis and Delve regions should be taken from FA and claimed for use by the resident neutral Corps, with plans for admittance of any other neutrals who would agree to abide by the CFS charter. They joined forces with DSMA to do this under the “United Free Space” (USF) banner and hostilities with FA commenced in September. FA responded in force and despite considerable sympathy for the UFS cause and a number of fighters rallying to join their fight against FA, over a course of a couple of months FAs superior numbers, resources and organisation overcame the UFS forces. FinFleet and Jazz (forebears of 42 Corp, who were also to figure in Crisis Corps. Future history) were at this time FA members; at a later date both Corps resigned FA membership.
Firstly Delve was subjected to FA attack and overrun by their forces. Efforts to defend Period Basis were then hampered when QDF, who had not concerned themselves with the UFS attempts in Period Basis and Delve to liberate the stations there from FA control, blockaded the route to Empire passing through Querius space as a component part of their strategy to achieve their own self governance of Querius. CFS/DSMA/StA forces thus found themselves in a situation whereby although QDF were not actively fighting against them, their lines of supply were compromised. FA decided to relinquish claims in Querius and to concentrate their efforts on defeating UFS in Period Basis. CFS forces crumbled fairly rapidly however, although resistance was maintained for about three months by DSMA and by Celts, who fought closely with the DSMA forces
However, FA continued to send forces into the area on a regular basis and, in time, open resistance in Period Basis diminished to the point where it was only effectively being carried out by a few DSMA corps. In the face of continued attacks and harassment by various FA corps CFS and DSMA began to disintegrate. At this point TI, Capsule and SCYC, seeing no future in Period Basis, left the area to look for a new position elsewhere. Remaining resistance in Period Basis reduced to guerrilla warfare and then petered out more or less completely to resistance by a few die-hards only, with the stations re-occupied by FA on a permanent basis. The war was formally announced as lost and closed by UFS on 6th December.
Some of the UFS Corporations joined the QDF corporations in Querius and became the FIX Alliance, others made overtures to FA and were allowed back to Period Basis as members of the Period Basis Legion, a supposedly neutral successor to CFS but in reality a satrap governed by FA. The remaining Corporations left the south west area. Black Lance and Celts were amongst this latter group.
Rover Vitesse recalls this was SCYC s position at the time: “SCYC got back to empire, we still had our empire industry, but no drive, and felt, to be honest, beaten. We lost the other two founding members, and had a quiet time over the xmas period. We thought about doing the new POS things, and asked ex-DSMA members if they wanted to help. We rejoined chat channels from the war and spoke again. Neil Athotep told me on New Years Eve 2004 that Capsule and TI were merging. I went back to the SCYC board and told them I would be more than happy for us to merge (we had a roster strength of maybe only 30 by then), we voted, the rest is history.....”
2005
Good relations between TI, Capsule and SCYC had naturally strengthened during the war with FA, when they had run joint combat operations and formulated strategy together. They discussed plans for a future away from Period Basis and decided they had sufficiently common plans and interests to amalgamate, reasoning that a larger and therefore stronger unit would have greater chances of success. They did so; a new corporation was formed on 3rd January named “Crisis Corp” (CCP). With members of the 3 corporations joining, CCP started life with some 50 members. A Council comprising the senior officers from all 3 Corporations was formed. Neil Athotep was appointed CEO with Rover Vitesse as second in command. Droopsy was appointed commander of the new corporation’s combat fleet.
A new Corporation is born and returns to O.0
It was decided to establish a unified base of operations in Empire to support a period of retrenchment during which time a) it would be determined whether the 3 corporations could work together under one banner in harmony, b) efforts would be made to increase corporation funds c) subject to a) and b), a recruitment drive would be embarked upon to seek to expand the number of corporation members to the point where CCP could be considered an organisation of some power within the eve universe and able to punch their weight in 0.0 space. A survey of possible empire locations was carried out and headquarters were established at Core Complexion Inc. warehouse in Akhragan.
On 29th January the new Corp was contacted by the developers who objected to use of the ticker “CCP”. They were persuaded to agree to the use of C-CP.
By the end of January “feelers” had been put out to Stain Alliance and Xetic as to their views on a possible application for membership. However these Overtures met with little positive response. Notwithstanding the lack of an 0.0 position, the combined venture continued to be successful. Notable operations for the new Corp included the establishment of three POS, the T2 components manufactured at these stations swelled the C-CP treasury significantly. A Harpy assault Frigate BPO was acquired by C-CP and a production and sales line was set up, further increasing the corporations’ revenue.
A mineral acquisition/manufacturing/sale co-ordination post was created and a procedure to purchase ore and minerals from members at prices set by reference to the mean aggregate price at 4 main trading hubs, was established. This system worked well to the mutual benefit of the corporations manufacturing operations, and its individual members.
Then the Curse Alliance broke up and ceased to be. Individual ex-CA corporations and others from outside the old CA regions fought amongst themselves for control of areas of south east 0.0 space, and elsewhere in the Eve Universe. In January one or more of these corporations (operating as BoB) attacked the Period Basis and Delve regions, which no doubt undermined Period Basis Legion and the FA forces in the area. Shortly after this on 20th January SHINRA, ex-CA members, attacked the regions and conquered the two stations in Period Basis and pronounced access to these to be free to all who applied to them and obtained their approval.
An application by C-CP for access to the now SHINRA stations was approved and a few Corp members took the opportunity to return to live in Period Basis. At first the main inhabitants were SHINRA, MG34 and C-CP, other Corps were quickly admitted though. The Corp. began to re-build its resources in Period Basis and to undertake production of ships and equipment etc. in Period Basis for Corp members, all low end ores were given to the Corp and manufactured products were distributed to members for use in Period Basis on application without charge, but as their needs dictated.
From time to time a very few Fountain Alliance raiders came to Period Basis. However Shinras’ presence and a co-operative militia manned by the residents was effective to control such interlopers. Some CC-P pilots flew with Shinra on operations, which started to form and strengthen ties. Initial reservations as to Shinras’ motives dissolved as the Period Basis residents found them to be honourable hosts.
At the start of February the C-CP Council considered the amalgamation to have been a success and C-CP activities running sufficiently smoothly to permit expansion. The Corp therefore more actively started to recruit new members. Several members new to the Corp but not to Eve began to join up in the next few weeks. During February the Corp purchased more BPOs and have ever since maintained a policy of regular acquisitions of both T1 and T2 BPOs.
FA continued to raid into Period Basis. On occasion the TPAR-G station fell to them but was re-taken by Shinra and local forces. However in late March Shinra announced that they were withdrawing from the area; this would leave the residents to their own devices and obviously vulnerable to subjugation by FA forces. Considering the position in Period Basis no longer to be tenable C-CP decided to evacuate from Period Basis, again. Rover Vitesse comments: “We did go to period basis to mine again, but at all levels this was treated as a stopgap measure to bigger 0.0 deployments. When SNRA moved in, we considered it semi-permanent, however, they only stayed as long as there were targets coming down. Nevertheless, contacts made with SNRA high end guys would prove useful later…”
FA Corps duly returned in force and conquered the stations and C-CP access to them was again terminated. A request from dispossessed Period Basis resident Corps for assistance with an attempt to re-take and control the area (without Shinras assistance) was received by C-CP. The Council decided not to officially support it, but that any Corp members who wished to participate would be free to do so. In the event such plans come to naught for lack of sufficient force and Crisis took little or no part in this brief affray. In the months that followed the Period Basis and Delve regions became a war zone until in May BoB re-located wholesale to the area and closed off access to it completely.
During the first quarter of 2004 C-CP continued to grow in Empire, mining and manufacturing, with some more and newer members joining and growing more skilled. Some ad-hoc training and advice in pvp skills and fleet operations was given by senior members.
In April C-CP participated in the Gallente Presidential Election Event. The task was to obtain vouchers by running simple freight courier missions between 3 systems. receiving one, five or ten vouchers at the conclusion of each mission. C-CP competed against other participating Corps to accumulate the greatest number of vouchers for their selected candidate, Eman Autrech, in the Everyshore area. With practically all members of the Corp running missions C-CP won their section of the event and, albeit after some frustrating delays, were awarded a Navy Megathron. This ship was named CC-S Sufferance and commissioned into service as the Corporation flagship.
Through ill-health the CEO Neil Athotep had not been able to participate in Corporation affairs for some time and in his continuing absence, at the end of April Rover Vitesse was officially appointed CEO by the Council (having been carrying out that function as deputy CEO for some time). Droopsy was appointed second in command and the Council composition was reviewed and various appointments made.
The C-CP diplomats had during this time continued to search for an opportunity to obtain a new position in 0.0. At the beginning of May James McGowan was discussing respective corp. goals with DJ Lightning, CEO of Black Lance who were in a state of flux after leaving Period Basis, and mentioned to him in passing that Celts (a Corporation who had been in DSMA with Black Lance and the 3 pre C-CP Corps), had joined the Force of Evil Alliance after they had left Period Basis, and had just been forced to leave their home in Vale of Silent as a result of a Civil war within FOE. DJ Lightning immediately contacted Celts and invited them to this conversation and within 10 minutes they had agreed to ally to take the Vale of Silent stations from FOE. C-CP were invited to join this venture but stated that this was a matter that would have to be considered by the Council before a decision could be made. Whilst that was being done, Celts and Black Lance pulled together some more corps including Euphoria Released and 7th Space Cavalry as the Vale Alliance, and invaded Vale of the Silent taking the stations there from The Forsaken-Empire corporation and Generals of Destruction Syndicate.(who then formed The Forsaken-Empire Alliance) The invitation to participate in this venture was still open, and the Council decided that it appeared to be a viable option. Black Lance had established a POS near the two stations in Vale of the Silent. Having established a beachhead in Vale of Silent, VA were looking for more members to strengthen their forces to deal with expected counter-attacks from FOE, who retained control of significant areas of space to the north of Vale. The C-CP Council accordingly issued a directive for experienced combat pilots to go to Vale to assist with the continuing efforts to subdue FOE and to evict and exclude their forces from the area. A few pilots moved equipment to the area and participated in the fight. As time went by and the war wore on, some of the other Corp members gained their first experience of warfare in 0.0, when Fojar, one of the C-CP Fleet Commanders, formed them into a frigate fleet and led them on an expedition into the Vale area.
FE/GODS forces continued to be active in the area and one of the two stations, nearest to Empire, changed hands more than once before FE/GODS managed to take and hold it. GODS hired KIA Corp as mercenaries. With KIA assistance an effective blockade was established which cut off the remaining VA forces in 0.0 from Empire support. With active VA forces and resources dwindling it became clear that the war was being lost.
Remnants of the Vale Alliance proposed to join with G and Imperium/IRON to seek to establish an 0.0 position in the North (eventually several members including Black Lance formed NBSI Alliance in Tenal). On 18th May C-CP were asked to consider participating in this. Diplomatic discussions were however terminated when during the last week in May it was proposed that this association join in plans by G/Imperium/IRON to attack SHINRA and their allies, including ATUK, who had by this time formed into an Alliance known as “The Five”([5]), having a base in the south east (former CA space). It was submitted that aiding in this action would put VA in good stead with Pheonix Alliance, who might be willing to assist VA in prosecuting the war with The Forsaken-Empire, or to make the Tribute region available to VA. The VA council suggested that in return for their help C-CP might receive stations in Tribute. C-CP diplomats had good relations with Shinra and with members of ATUK and, holding out hopes of being able to negotiate access to [5] space (not only for themselves but also for the whole of the VA) refused to have anything to do with attacking [5], a stance that was supported by the C-CP members.
Then Celtic Industries split into 2: Celtic Industries and Celtic Anarchy. The celtic split made people think too much, and that was part of the VA failure...
The same night as the Celts split, there was a gang, going to take back a Black Lance station from gods/f-e/KIA, wich Cartiff from Euphoria Released was leading, and as the madman he is, he was primary for the opponents, but survived, and refused to leave the gang: he lead the rest of the assault in his pod.
The last winning thing that VA did, the station got back into Black Lance hands, then more than half of the VA pvp'ers were lost to a new corp, that didnt want any part of politics.
At this point C-CP and the other VA corps sued for peace and evacuated. C-CP duly withdrew from VA, and on 25th May VA disbanded.
In June the Corp closed and sold its 3 POS.
To Detorid
The Five had successfully conquered space in the south east and due to continued good relations C-CP were (along with selected other Corps) offered access to the Detorid region, as an ATUK “sponsored” Corp. On 11th June Rover Vitesse and Haldane IV traveled to the Detorid stations in battleships to establish a foothold, and were given a hauler by a Corp already in situ there. Mining to make the first equipment for Corp use, and bookmarking a route to and from Empire space, were undertaken. Other Corp members gradually re-located to DG-8VJ in Detorid which became a very successful location. With very few pilots from other Corps living in the area, DG-8VJ filled up with C-CP members. The Five were content for this to happen, they received revenue from refining taxes levied at their stations. Also, C-CP vigorously and successfully defended DG-8VJ and surrounding systems from sporadic raiding parties sent at various times by Foundation, by Imperium and by Red Alliance,
On 5th August 2005 Mentally Unstable Enterprises Corp declared Empire War on C-CP. The Corp was hugely amused by the diversion of an Empire war and was immediately put on a war footing with pilots operating in Detorid returning to Akhragan to fight, flying daily fleet actions into the MENTL base system. They did not renew their war declaration when it expired after one week. A beneficial effect was that it gave members some fleet combat experience. Following conclusion of the war with MUE, members returned to Detorid. At the request of [5], C-CP carried out some actions in conjunction with a fellow ATUK sponsored Corp operating in the Detorid area, “42”. A war between [5] and Red Alliance, who were based in Great Wildlands and Cache, to the north of [5] space, was continuing. When RA pilots begin to appear in the Detorid area in numbers, C-CP and “42” commenced regular small fleet actions/raids into RA space as a demonstration of strength and resolve, and support for The Five.
September
The number of Corp members resident in Detorid increased , so did Red Alliance activity and incursion by various pirate factions. Regular weekly patrols through [5] claimed regions were conducted. Then Red Alliance deployed a POS in DG-8VJ, their fleet was dispersed by ATUK and Crisis Corp members assisted in destruction of the POS.
Eviction from Detorid
October
Red Alliance deployed more POS in the Detorid region. [5] announced they had decided that they did not wish to spend all their time taking down POS, and decided to abandon all their claimed sovereign territories including Detorid, in favour of a nomadic existence. Crisis Corp, ATUCKO, Lunar Dawn and 42 (and also later Shinra) gave consideration to continuing the campaign against RA but after some deliberation it was concluded that this was not feasible and all Corps evacuated the area. C-CP managed to remove most Corp property from DG-8VJ although inevitably some members had to abandon some ships and equipment stored at the station. Pheonix, NBSI and Forsaken Empire Alliances declared empire war on [5], who promptly made the declaration mutual. Veritas Immortalis declared war against all 3 and those wars were made mutual too.
Chimaera Pact
November
The Councils time during the last couple of weeks of October and the beginning of November was given over to continuing efforts to source an 0.0 location. Moving to Syndicate was considered and rejected. After an unfavourable survey of the Region. Deputy CEO Droopsy sent a message to BoB enquiring whether they would be willing to consider offering C-CP a position in Period Basis, following an informal conversation with a BoB member who suggested to Droopsy that we might do so.
Then two events occurred at the same time, requiring a choice to be made. Droopsy received a reply from BoB indicating that they were indeed willing to consider an application to negotiate an access arrangement with them. At the same time Droopsy was contacted by two high ranking members of ATUKO who said they had decided they wanted to recover Detorid from Red Alliance by force and wished us to join a new Alliance with them, Forty Two, FinFleet, German Cyberdome and Out of Exile. They stated that those other Corps and a number of ATUKO pilots had agreed to this and the plan would be to station POSs at every moon in O-W, claim sovereignty there and take the station, and then do the same thing in DG. Intelligence was that RA maintained only a minimal presence in the area, and would possibly not want to go to the trouble to fight for the area. Their aim was to create a fortress in Detorid and retain it as a permanent base. Each participating Corp would make a financial contribution, ATUKO supporting members would make the largest contribution, and station taxes would be implemented to provide for re-payment. It was stated that if necessary [5] would send a Dreadnaught fleet to remove RA stations.
A difficult decision had to be made. It was decided that this plan had chances for success but, as an overriding factor, C-CP identified the participants as allies or associates with ATUK and [5] and we should stand with them. Accordingly C-CP paid 1 billion to a war chest and a new Alliance named Chimeara Pact was formed on 3rd November by Midguard Logistics. C-CP joined it along with Forty Two and Fin Fleet and German Cyberdome and Out of Exile. It had been decided that diplomatic contact would be made with RA at an early stage and because of ATUKOs past bad relations with RA, they/their pilots should not join the alliance but should instead form a new corp. who would join.
At this point Crisis Corporations’ history becomes intertwined with the history of Chimaera Pact, which is recounted elsewhere in the Wiki. Suffice it to say here, that Crisis Corp played a prominent part in Chimaera Pact activities from this time until the summer of 2006.
Lotka Volterra
On 21st June 2006 Rover Vitesse reported to the Corp Council that Lotka Volterra had suggested to Crisis Corp and FinFleet that they might consider joining their Alliance, and at the end of the month Finfleet and Crisis Corp and Galactic Empire duly left Chimp and joined LV alliance, leaving Catalyst Reaction and Wasteland Industries and Cereal Killers, as the main CHIMP Corps. By agreement the E8-YS9 refinery station in Immensea was made over to CHIMP and the two Detorid stations and the POS equipment already in use to secure these two systems was made over to Crisis Corp and the others leaving for LV. All alliance funds, assets, and everything related to Chimaera pact stayed within Chimaera Pact.
FinFleet
In November 2006 a number of concerns regarding the Corporations officers ability to continue to manage Crisis Corp. and performt its responsibilities within LV were reviewed by the Corp. Council. It was decided that because a number of ranking Corp. officers had either having left the Corp over the years since its formation or were now experiencing restrictions upon the time available to them to manage Corp. affairs, talks should be opened with FinFleet regarding a possible merger. The two Corps had a very similar philosophy and managemant arrangement and having worked closely together with CHIMP and then LV, members of both Corps. were well known to each other. The idea of a merger had been considered by the two Corps in the past, the Crisis Corp Council thought it was now time to implement such an arrangement. The merger went ahead, with all Crisis Corp. members being absorbed into FinFleet, with no evident dissention from any member on either side. The Crisis Corp CEO and deputy CEO became members of the FifFleet governing Council, with other Crisis Corp members beconing Directors. All assets were merged.
