Intro
"This corp is a family. You cannot break us."
- Corp Motto
Body Count Inc. was EVE's first truly dedicated mercenary corp. Its pilots are selected exclusively for their ability to perform selflessly as part of a team. BDCI is a corp of thinkers and innovators where honor and integrity are more than just words - they are a way of life.
Founding member of the Mercenary Coalition.
Background
For many years the true origin of BDCI and its founders remained mystery, rumor, and speculation. The truth is something less sinister than some would tell you.
The truth behind the foundation of BDCI is as simple as progression, some would state greed but progression was the goal. BDCI and it's initial concept was the brain child of Seleene (at the time known as Alynthir, Emauel Labor) Valeriya (Niik, Fission), Charrigo (Alias for BDCI unknown), and Jezzebell (a.k.a Uzael). All members were part of the Nexus Enterprises Corp. This corp was in the process of creating its second Armageddon class battleship. It was during the long mining trips that Charrigo and Uzael discussed the possibility of a second "Shadow Corp" to carry out pirate operations in low secuirty space. This idea did not sit well with Nexus' CEO Fubie, however after much persuation by Alynthir, Uzael, and Charrigo Fubie agreed to commit limited resources to trial runs for this new corp. Thus BDCI is born and with the concept that all characters created for the corp are required to be female. A revelation is made that Alynthir has had for some time a battle trained pilot by the Name of Selenne which has been operating in low sec war zones for some time. The founding members of BDCI are Seleene, Jezzebell, Valeriya, and Charrigo's Character which I do not remember the name of.
After approximately a month of resource work, BDCI made its first venture in to low security space. While fun, it was deemed that pirtaing was too limited in its rewards and that the goal was to hone combat skills, not gate camp for months on end with very little return. On these trips one important connection would be made, and that would be BDCI's first encounter with FRICK.
The aformentioned encounter with FRICK revolved around a dispute over a captured (and destroyed) Dominix class battleship, FRICK had been chasing it from deeper in space, and consequently chased it straight in to a BDCI gate camp. BDCI destroyed it which lead to a short stand off with FRICK. When everyone realized that both corporations were engaged in the same activity the two continued the rest of the evening hunting the area as one group, thus the FRICK/BDCI partnership is started, however it would not come to fruitation till much much later.

Recruitment
Current Recruitment Officer: Parmizan
Recruitment into BDCI has nothing to do with how many skills or kills you have. The corp is extremely selective in its membership, going by recommendations of current members or headhunting specific people within the EVE community.
Initial entry into BDCI consists of several steps:
• If you have not received an invitation and feel you have what it takes or want to try to see if BDCI is the corp for you, the first step is to contact the Recruitment Officer. If you are unknown to the corp, first impressions mean quite a lot. You are better off talking about yourself as a player first and as your character second.
• Assuming the Recruitment Officer thinks you are worth the effort, he will then set up an interview with you. This tends to be on TeamSpeak when possible.
• If the interview goes well, the results will be posted to the corp as a whole and they decide on weather to take the process to the next step.
The Grill
The Grill is a special section on the BDCI forums set aside for recruitment purposes. When a 'potential' enters the Grill, they introduce themselves to the corp and begin a 7-10 day Q&A process with the membership of the corp. It is a difficult, funny and exhausting process that requires more dedication than most players have. Over the course of the Grill, a potential is given the opportunity to ask questions of the corp and its members as well.
The focus in the Grill is on the personality and maturity of a player as a person and not everyone who enters this stage gets voted into the corp.
